"The Little Unicorn" is a sweet tale to live in your children's hearts for years to come to discover the beauty of friendship and the goodness that is already living inside them, so they can bring sparkle all around them no matter where they go! This definitely made my twin daughters' hearts sparkle!! Sheri Fink knows how to capture our family's hearts for sure!!

The Little Unicorn is a children's picture book written by Sheri Fink and illustrated by the Lynx Animation Studio. The book tells the story of the titular Little Unicorn who lives in enchanted forest, interacting with the fey folk and bringing joy to those around her. Out of curiosity, she wanders into a darker part of the forest and temporarily loses her positive outlook, but by the story’s end, she is able to rediscover her inner magic.The artwork of The Little Unicorn is vibrant with all the colours of the rainbow and really pops off the page. Since this is a book for younger readers, the narrative and vocabulary is made accessible. It’s a story of positivity and looking toward one’s self to find that inner magic. It’s a quick read, and with the large artwork, makes it perfect for a parent to read/show to their children before going to sleep.
This book is very whimsical, which makes it a perfect publication for The Whimsical World. Sheri does a great job of keeping the child's' attention without sounding like she's pandering to a child. There of some children's books where the narrative is so trite and corny you spend most of your time rolling your eyes. This book is definitely NOT one of those books.I love the personification of the "sparkle". As I was reading it (to my daughter), the concept of the "sparkle" is exactly what I was hoping it would be. Of all the pages in the book, that last page is the page I made sure my daughter listened to the most. It's the most important page in the book.I gave this book 5 stars for another reason; ultimately it came down to how my daughter responded to it. This book had a pretty tough audience, not only was my daughter listening, but so were every one of her unicorn plush animals. When we finished the book I asked her if she liked it. Her response was "yes, we are going to read it again the next day", and she proceeded to name one of the unicorns in attendance "The Little Unicorn". I'd say that is some pretty high praise for this book!If you have a child that loves unicorns, you need to check out this book.
