It is fine. Information is accurate, if not a bit non-specific, but for things like capacities, and general mechanical that isn't dependent on a particular year, it is fine. The thing is that the shop manuals are pretty readily available and if I knew I could get an electronic version for $5 more than this manual, well...If you need to get one of these, I do recommend the Haynes over the Chilton, but both have bad photos so it is more of a personal preference.
It got here quick from HPB. I'm happy with the product, perfect for the quick matinence we'll be doing after we're done restoring the grand wagoneer. I was hoping for more schematics on the vacuum system.
My husband bought me my dream car for my anniversary- 86 wagoner. He usually does a lot of the restoration so we bought this to help us buy parts etc. We took it to a mechanic for a complete overhaul but this book is helping us keep the mechanic honest and also will be useful as we maintain the car.
Good manual but it lacks a lot in the electrical diagrams/
If you ever want to work on your car, buy the Haynes manual first, that's it. if you don't then good luck to ya! and if your one of the few real men that has the guts to work on their car, I highly recommend these manuals, if you like to do things right and have a good reference handy these books are great, I grew up with them in Ireland and am so glad they've made it over here, my old jeep needs some TLC and I'm ready now to give it.
Exactly what I needed, though took a really long time to get here.
It's a haynes manual. Does a good job overall could use a little more detail in others.
Great the book I got was old stock still in shrink wrap. Really helps with my old Jeep.
